Reid was 5 years old when he died and went to the Angels Playground. He had been battling cancer for 3 years. On earth, he loved his family and everything to do with garbage trucks. He loved watching the trucks, playing with toy trucks, and even sorting recycling from garbage. We will remember Reid finding happiness in all things even trash.

We were hard at work this weekend. Sewing our books has been our bottleneck to getting the books out to the kids. Luckily for us a wonder group of ladies stepped up. These sewers brought their machines and sewed over 300 pages. They even volunteered and are taking more pages for homework. With their assistance our production speed will greatly increase. Thank you to Anita, Bev, Carla, Carol, Eileen, Karen, Katherine, Marsha, Rita. A special Big Thanks to Louella for organizing the whole party. This page makes me sad because it is for another kid with medulloblastoma. Medulloblastoma is a fast-growing, cancerous brain tumor that can quickly spread to other parts of the brain and spinal cord. This is what Levi had. This page represents the first step in treatment: brain surgery to remove as much of the tumor that you can. Levi had his within 48 hours of being diagnosed. This is a hard thing to explain to a 3 year old. The LovefromLevi hospital book is designed to fill this need. We are proud to be helping support all these kiddos through their medical journeys.

A big thanks to Iowa City Noon Optimist Club. They let us put up a booth at their fantastic pancake breakfast at the airport this morning. We met so many great people (over two hundred visited our booth). It was especially nice to catch up with a couple of kiddos who previously received a book or customized stuffie. Now a lot more people are aware of and support LovefromLevi. Thanks again! ...
It’s been a little quiet around here lately, but for very good reason!
The LovefromLevi team has been hard at work, getting books into the hands of children and families who need them the most. Today alone we are sending out 18 books, and so far this year we’ve provided 60 books to children facing medical challenges, each book a customize for a child to represent their own personal medical journey.
We are also humble to share that we have more than 200 children on our waitlist. As a small nonprofit run by a passionate group of volunteers, we are working as quickly and thoughtful as we can. While the need can be overwhelming, we are choosing to celebrate what has been accomplished so far and look forward to all the kids we will support in the months ahead.

We recieved the nicest thank you email today. A parent writes:
“I just wanted to send a email to simply say thank you . We received the book a few weeks ago now and I’ve been meaning to reach out to let you know how wonderful and beautifully made these books truly are.
My daughter Sofia, loved the personalised message in the box and has been using her book every day. She’s particularly enjoying cleaning and re inserting the peg Mickey buttons - which is one of her biggest fears.
Thank you so much for this book. I know this book will get great use and be such a help for my daughter.”
We are so glad the hospital book is helping Sophia and we can continue to remember Levi through these books.

💙 Today we remember Levi on his Angelversary. Not a day goes by that we don't miss his smile, his courage, and the light he brought into every room. Levi is the reason for everything we do at Love From Levi. At just 3 years old, he faced an aggressive form of brain cancer with a strength and joy that continues to inspire us every day.
