Reid was 5 years old when he died and went to the Angels Playground. He had been battling cancer for 3 years. On earth, he loved his family and everything to do with garbage trucks. He loved watching the trucks, playing with toy trucks, and even sorting recycling from garbage. We will remember Reid finding happiness in all things even trash.
This page makes me sad because it is for another kid with medulloblastoma. Medulloblastoma is a fast-growing, cancerous brain tumor that can quickly spread to other parts of the brain and spinal cord. This is what Levi had. This page represents the first step in treatment: brain surgery to remove as much of the tumor that you can. Levi had his within 48 hours of being diagnosed. This is a hard thing to explain to a 3 year old. The LovefromLevi hospital book is designed to fill this need. We are proud to be helping support all these kiddos through their medical journeys.

A big thanks to Iowa City Noon Optimist Club. They let us put up a booth at their fantastic pancake breakfast at the airport this morning. We met so many great people (over two hundred visited our booth). It was especially nice to catch up with a couple of kiddos who previously received a book or customized stuffie. Now a lot more people are aware of and support LovefromLevi. Thanks again! ...
It’s been a little quiet around here lately, but for very good reason!
The LovefromLevi team has been hard at work, getting books into the hands of children and families who need them the most. Today alone we are sending out 18 books, and so far this year we’ve provided 60 books to children facing medical challenges, each book a customize for a child to represent their own personal medical journey.
We are also humble to share that we have more than 200 children on our waitlist. As a small nonprofit run by a passionate group of volunteers, we are working as quickly and thoughtful as we can. While the need can be overwhelming, we are choosing to celebrate what has been accomplished so far and look forward to all the kids we will support in the months ahead.

“I just wanted to send a email to simply say thank you . We received the book a few weeks ago now and I’ve been meaning to reach out to let you know how wonderful and beautifully made these books truly are.
My daughter Sofia, loved the personalised message in the box and has been using her book every day. She’s particularly enjoying cleaning and re inserting the peg Mickey buttons - which is one of her biggest fears.

We were contacted by parent of a kiddo with epidermolysis bullosa. This is a rare condition that causes extremely fragile skin that can be easily injury, even by from heat, rubbing or scratching. The kiddo has to constantly wrap her skin with bandages to protect it. We made this customize special armor page in her hospital book to help explain that the bandages are there to protect her. We hope she likes it and the book helps with all of her medical procedures!
