Calvin absolutely LOVED his customized hospital book!!!
We received the following nice note from Calvin’s family.
“Thank you again. He played with it all day and was so excited to tell us about each experience in the book. I love hearing his perspective and this was a way that definitely helped him feel comfortable speaking about it.
You guys are truly doing it right, these are so impactful – at least it was for Calvin – but also for us as parents navigating this new life too.”
As parents, it can be hard to find the right way to communicate intense hospital procedures to kids. This is especially true for younger age groups who have less ability to understand what and why things are happening. we hope these books continue to help Calvin, and all the kids with serious diseases better understand and get comfortable with their medical treatments.

Reid William Gleeson
2015-2020
Reid was 5 years old when he died and went to the Angels Playground. He had been battling cancer for 3 years. On earth, he loved his family and everything to do with garbage trucks. He loved watching the trucks, playing with toy trucks, and even sorting recycling from garbage. We will remember Reid finding happiness in all things even trash.
