This year, the LovefromLevi Angelversary toy drive has taken a unique approach. We believe that children with serious illnesses could benefit from a little companion who has undergone similar experiences. Levi, for instance, had Stompy and numerous other stuffed friends who accompanied him through various scans, injections, and check-ups during his treatment.
As depicted in the pictures, we are customizing stuffed animals to mirror medical procedures such as ports, g-tubes, trach tubes, casts, and more. Each purchased stuffed animal will be modified and gifted to children at the University of Iowa Stead Family Hospital. These stuffed animals serve as an extension of medical play, supporting our mission to help young children with serious medical conditions understand their procedures, develop coping strategies, and alleviate their fears and anxieties. If you wish to contribute, you can purchase an animal directly from our Amazon Wish List or “adopt” an animal through the LovefromLevi donation page. ***If you use the Amazon Wish List please send a gift note with your name and address so we can send you a thank you card***

Reid William Gleeson
2015-2020
Reid was 5 years old when he died and went to the Angels Playground. He had been battling cancer for 3 years. On earth, he loved his family and everything to do with garbage trucks. He loved watching the trucks, playing with toy trucks, and even sorting recycling from garbage. We will remember Reid finding happiness in all things even trash.
